Studio Policy
Waiver and Release
I understand, acknowledge and agree that due to the nature of the dance sport, including pole, aerial, chair dance and flexibility, the classes, private parties, practices and related activities conducted by MAD Collection carries inherent dangers and risks, including risk of injury or death. I acknowledge that I need to submit a parental consent letter to MAD Collection if I am under 18 years old before enrolment. I further agree that participating in any activity organised or conducted by MAD Collection is purely on my sole volition and risk. I agree that while classes or other are in session, it may not be possible or practical for the instructors of MAD Collection to provide safety instructions and recommendations. I acknowledge that I am at liberty to, at any time, cease or suspend my participation if I am in any way incapacitated, unable to continue or feel that any activity may result in bodily injury to myself or other participants. Should I decide to continue despite such conditions, any encouragement, recommendations or advice given by the instructors of MAD Collection does not negate the voluntary nature of my decision.
In view of the aforesaid, and by my voluntary participation in the activities of MAD Collection, I hereby, to the full extent permitted by law, WAIVE ALL LEGAL RIGHTS OF ACTION AGAINST AND FULLY RELEASE MAD Collection, its directors, instructors, employees, agents, landlords, leases or franchisees (Related Parties) for the loss, damages, or injury howsoever arising out of or in relation to the participation by myself in the activities conducted or organised by MAD Collection including without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission, breach of duty, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty on the part of MAD Collection and/or Related Parties.
Health and Conduct
I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind altering drugs before and during the activity and I take full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with their consumption. I agree not to drink alcohol or take drugs prohibited by law before or during in any activities conducted or organised by MAD Collection.
By enrolling in our classes, I acknowledge that I have been advised to consult with my physician with respect to any past or present injury, illness, pregnancy or any other health related condition or any kind whatsoever that may affect my participation and ability to participate in the program. I acknowledge that I have discussed the appropriateness of pole, aerial, chair and other dance programs in connection with any illness or condition that I have or have had with my physician, and that I knowingly execute this release from liability and negligence. Specifically, and without derogation to the foregoing, I acknowledge that MAD Collection has recommended that pregnant women DO NOT participate in pole and aerial dancing.
Personal property
I recognize and accept that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings and property. I waive and release any and all claims against MAD Collection for property loss or damage to my personal property arising from my participation.
Cancellation of Classes
MAD Collection reserves the right to change or cancel a class up to and including the date of the course if sufficient bookings have not been received. In the event of a class or course being altered or cancelled every effort will be made to avoid inconvenience by offering alternative dates, times or venues. I agree to try to accept all reasonable changes made by MAD Collection, but nonetheless agree that in the event of a cancellation or postponement initiated by MAD Collection, the maximum liability of MAD Collection is limited to a full refund of the cancelled class or activity.
Group Classes
Once payment has been processed, you are booked for the class/course you have specified. Class transfers, if required, are to be made at least 48 hours before the class. The class will be forfeited if there is a 'no show', or cancellation is not made 48 hours before class. Refunds or credit notes will only be given in exceptional cases, at M.A.D’s discretion and subject to an administrative fee of $22.
The Studio reserves the right to transfer you to a class appropriate to your ability level for your safety. An administrative charge of $22 will apply if you request for a class change or if your instructor requests that you change to a lower-level class.
Private Classes
You may have up to 4 participants in each lesson. Please contact your instructor to schedule your private session. Package is valid for 90 days from date of purchase. Balance credit will be forfeited when due and un-utilised.
Class will be forfeited if 'no show', or cancellation is not made 48 hours before class, or 5 days before if class is set at peak hours (weekends all-day, Mon-Fri 12:00-2:30pm, 6:00-9:00pm). Any persons unable to complete their package due to illness or injury must inform M.A.D at hello@mad.sg with a medical certificate for review, before the private package expires. Extensions will only be given in exceptional cases, at M.A.D Dance Studio’s discretion. No refunds or credit notes will be made in any circumstances.
Private Parties
Booking date is subjected to studio availability at the time of payment. An email confirmation will be sent to confirm your booking date/time upon receipt of full payment. The booking will be held for a maximum of 24 hours and will be released if full payment is not made.
There is no refund for a 'no show'. Rescheduling must be made 48 hours before event date/time or 5 days before if the session is set at peak hours (weekdays 5:00pm-11:00pm, weekends 9:00am-4:30pm) via email to hello@mad.sg otherwise 50% of payment will be forfeited.
A cleaning fee deposit of $200 may be collected prior to the start of the class if food and beverages are brought into the studio for consumption. This cleaning fee is fully refunded if the studio is returned in the same condition as received. Otherwise, this fee will be utlised to pay for cleaning services to said studio.
Practice Sessions
For safety reasons, I understand that I am not allowed to teach or learn tricks from other students of another level or anyone outside of the studio at practice sessions. Please approach staff (call 88063167 for assistance) for any aerial equipment change or height adjustments. Incorrect handling may result in equipment failure or injuries.
Administrative fee of $5.40 applies for any cancellation or change made, under any circumstance (including medical, travel, work plans). Strictly no cash refund. Only class credits will be returned to your account. Credits expire in 1 term.
Bringing your own aerial equipment and rigging
1. The use of student’s own hammock is allowed.
2. Hammock may be attached to student’s own hitches and/or carabiners.
3. If using own carabiners, they should be connected to M.A.D spreader plates.
4. If using own hitches, they should be connected to student’s own carabiners, then connected to M.A.D spreader plate. Note - ONE hitch to ONE carabiner. DO NOT load 2 hitches on 1 carabiner. Ensure hitch fabric do not get caught in carabiner gate.
5. Student will bear full responsibility of consequences in the event of their equipment failure.
6. Student is responsible for rigging and inspecting their own equipment.
Instructors taking classes at M.A.D
Pole / Aerial / Dance instructors are welcome to enrol in M.A.D courses but priority is given to amateur learners. In the event that classes are oversubscribed, customers who are instructors may be asked to give up their slot with a full refund before the course starts.
Intellectual Property
M.A.D reserves the rights in all intellectual property in, without limitation, any moves, tricks, routines, course style and structure taught in any activities conducted or organised by M.A.D. I understand and agree that I must not use or exploit any intellectual property owned by M.A.D for personal financial gain in any manner, including but not limited to instructing or teaching pole, aerial, chair and other dance programs, without first obtaining the written permission of the M.A.D proprietors.
Medical Illness/ Injury
Any persons unable to complete their course due to illness or injury must inform M.A.D at hello@mad.sg with a medical certificate for review, before the course ends. Refunds or credit notes will only be given in exceptional cases, at M.A.D’s discretion. Missed classes cannot be refunded. Package rate will not apply for refund cases. I understand that refunds, or the transfers of fees to another term and/or other students, will not be granted in any circumstances except as specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions.
