Plus-size women in Singapore are pole dancing to bust body image stereotypes. Defying popular stereotypes, these women of different shapes and sizes in Singapore have come together to challenge dominant perceptions of what it means to pole dance.
To promote pole dancing as an accessible and body positive sport, Phoebe partnered with Slap Dance Studio to start the initiative Beautiful Inspiring Girls, or B.I.G. They hope to nurture a supportive environment for dancers with diverse backgrounds, body shapes and sizes, as well as form a safe space for the community to talk about difficult issues.
